Dance Recital Information

Back to Class Information

All seats are reserved. If you have a small child that will sit on your lap, they do not need a ticket. There is no limit on the amount of tickets you can purchase. We have two performances, so there will be plenty of seating available to you for family and friends. We do have handicapped spots for wheel chairs. We need to know this when you purchase your ticket.

We will be selling tickets at the door and they are $20 per ticket.

There are NO REFUNDS on tickets sold online or at the recital. Make sure you know which performance your child is in. Also, talk to relatives and friends to make sure they will be able to attend prior to purchasing their tickets.

When you finalize your online ticket purchase, you must print out the purchased tickets and bring them with you to the recital for admission to the show.

There are only side aisles, no center aisle. If you think someone will need to leave the show early, visit the restroom, or who has a child that may need to leave, we suggest sitting near the back on the aisle. In the past we have had some disruptive audience members getting up and down. Please be conscious of audience etiquette, so that everyone can enjoy the show. The seats are on a raised level. All seats have a wonderful view of the stage. There is also a balcony with a great view. They have changed the height of the stage in front of Row A, so it has a much better view if you enjoy sitting in front. The auditorium is air-conditioned. You may use your video camera from your seat, but there are no tripods allowed in the aisles or the balcony aisles according to fire department codes.

ALL dancers must stay backstage during the entire performance. Each group of younger dancers has a backstage Mom with them keeping them entertained. All students, including Women's Novelty and Men's Novelty will come back on stage for a final bow at the end of the show. NO students who are performing are allowed in the audience at any time for any reason. Also, no parents are allowed in the dressing rooms while the performance is going on.

Please have your dancer arrive at Hemmens Cultural Center 30 minutes prior to the start of their recital time. The first recital begins at 2:00 p.m. so please have your child there at 1:30 p.m. The second recital starts at 6:00 p.m. so please have your child there at 5:30 p.m. Please leave ample amount of time for traffic and road construction. Remember, the recital will begin on time no matter what. When you enter the main entrance, there will be stairs immediately to your right, please escort your dancer downstairs to find the dressing room. The younger dancers are all in "Dressing Room A" . When you get to the bottom of the stairs make a sharp turn to the left and you will see two double doors leading you to Dressing Room A.
